Montana Public Meeting Set on Elk Foundation Land Purchase Near Lewistown

Fish, Wildlife and Parks will hold a public information meeting about a proposal to acquire and manage 40 acres from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in central Montana. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m., Sept. 26 at the FWP Lewistown area office, 215 Aztec Drive, next to the airport. The property was recently acquired by RMEF. It contains a 30-foot common boundary with the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Big Snowy Mountains in Fergus County.
